Constant Transience (I rebelled and painted primroses)

The image derives from a distorted photograph that I had taken of some primroses and therefore references the history of nature painting.

This work was part of a larger body of work and ongoing investigation which I called 'Screen Play'. As well as investigating the play between two and three dimensional images it played around with ideas of the popular consumption of art on the web and how we encounter paintings through increasingly accelerated glimpses of images.
