Screen Play

An ipad Ophelia image on a primed area of a wooden panel. The image is derived from a distorted image of Ophelia by Sir John Everett Millais. This work was part of a larger body of work and ongoing investigation which I called 'Screen Play'. As well as investigating the play between two and three dimensional images it played around with ideas of the popular consumption of art on the web and how we encounter paintings through increasingly accelerated glimpses of images.
