This was one of the first books that I made for this installation. At the time I thought I might be installing the show as my degree show. I included this book as part of the piece in my degree show titled "After God came Modernism which was a little easier to understand".This played with the ideas of the 20th century, where modernism became a belief system, with almost religious reverence. Modernism seemed simultaneously a glorious escape into autonomy of the subject (as well as the object) as well as a dangerous oversimplification of life. We've escaped the creator and gained freewill, but the self interest is in constant conflict. Thankfully we now see that all is interplay.. words, objects and people, everything potentially effects everything else.
